God inspired the Bible

Here is an interesting scientific talk regarding the twelve stones in the New Jerusalem of the Bible,
It is given by David Pawson:

(6 minutes)

Another piece of evidence that the Bible is inspired by God and not simply written by man.

Check it out!

  1. I've never heard of the twelve stones, something I'll have to check out tomorow, it's getting late here :) I like the picture you have of the sunset, I'll have to show you one my dad took. I'm going to post it on my blog and I'll let ya know. We went for a motorcycle ride today and it was just beautiful. I'm so lucky to live in the Ottawa Valley. I have Ottawa only 20 minutes away but I live in a small town with lots of trees, I can't live in a place that doesn't have a lot of trees. I'll post it tomorow I think :)

  2. In Revelation 21 they are found. v23 says: "The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light".

It is speaking of the time when God comes to dwell with us in a new heavens and a new earth...all things are made new! Praise God! no more pain or sorrow!

I can imagine God's light being perfect. That's why the stones chosen are amazing. The link explains it more...

Wow, Canada! I always thought Canada would be a nice place to see. NZ has lots of trees aswell :) you know Lord of the Rings the movie? It was fimed in NZ, aswell as some of the Narnia movies.

  3. A very interesting video.

This is the kind of stuff that I actually do consider evidence in favour of the Bible being something more than an old book.

You may be surprised to hear that, but as I've said, I'm not against the idea of their being a God.

What I don't understand is; when you have really good evidence like this up your sleeve, why do so many apologists feel the need to 'prove' God by saying things like - "Look at the birds and the trees!"?

I'll do some more reading on this...

  4. That's cool Matt,

When I have time I will aim to look up some of those links you gave me on macro-evolution.

"This is the kind of stuff that I actually do consider evidence in favour of the Bible being something more than an old book."

Yes LOL, I am a bit surprised to hear that :)

Well there is evidence, some stronger and others weaker. But it is evidence. Birds and trees are evidence and strong evidence for some and not for others I suppose.
